Match-Ups
7.00 units Jeff Burton(-120@sportsbook.com)over Jimmie Johnson
Going large here(my biggest wager in quite some time). Burton has not finished outside the Top 10 in seven starts in '07. Has really excelled on the cookie cutter tracks the past two years and seems to have another strong RCR piece this weekend.
I know Lowe's has been owned by Johnson on the Cup side but it hasn't translated over to Busch. He does have two Top 10's in his last five starts but the other three results were 42nd, 43rd and 30th. Since this is also his first Busch race of the year I would think that would be a disadvantage.
(This play is of course contingent on Johnson making the field.)
4.00 units Casey Mears(-125@thegreek)over Jamie McMurray
Been riding McMurray on the Cup side a lot this year but have to go against him here on the junior circuit. Mears/Hendrick is another team that has impressed in '07 with seven Top 10's in eight starts. Still believe they will find Victory Lane before the season is over. In races on Lowe's sister tracks(Atlanta and Texas) they have finishes of 5th and 4th. I'm thinking they are capable of similar results for tonight.
3.00 units Greg Biffle(-115@thegreek)over Kasey Kahne
Liked this play to start with then I read what Fred and RickyBobby and others were saying about Biff and made me like it even more. He has been on a roller coater ride as for as consistency so its a little dicey but has good history here and thinking his luck maybe changing with three Top 10's in the last four starts albeit with two different teams. Kahne may break his slump sooner or later, just hoping its not tonight.
